“Meanwhile the tree of life goes on putting out branches.’’ Roger Caillois
This dress aims at highlighting the beauty and the intricacy of the tree veins. I photographed the wood grains and blew them up, before etching them on leather with a laser. The bark, or engraved leather becomes sort of a second skin, a protective armour for the body.
This fashion project is the counter part of a series of etching named L'Ecorce de l'age.
